Our First Booklet
We finally did it!
After talking about making our own booklet for approximately forever, a special request from our lovely Agent gave us the perfect excuse to stop talking and start making.
And naturally, we decided to make it ourselves.
From choosing the paper and colours to deciding which work made the cut, we tested, compared, changed our minds, tested again - transparency, print quality, folding, binding and all the little things that suddenly become very important when they are happening in your hands rather than on screen.
We could have sent everything to a perfectly professional third-party printer. But where’s the fun in that?
Our new printer got a proper workout. Then came the punching. The folding. The stapling. And, of course, the guillotine - because nothing beats the satisfaction of a perfectly straight line.
We also decided the booklet needed a stamp. Obviously.
We photographed ourselves in the studio, surrounded by all the equipment we could possibly need - because if you're going to make a booklet about yourselves, you might as well show who are the people behind this magic!
The whole process felt very much like our work: explore, experiment, question everything, make a few questionable choices, make better ones, and eventually arrive somewhere that feels just right.
Who knew 01 would be this much fun?
It is now printed, folded, stamped, stapled and officially on its way to our future clients - courtesy of our lovely Agent.
01 has left the studio. We’re already thinking about 02.
