About Katy

I’ve spent over thirty years working as a photographer’s agent and producer, building close relationships and supporting both emerging and established photographers in developing their careers.

After studying photography, I quickly realised that my strengths weren’t behind the camera, but in working alongside photographers, helping to shape their careers and being part of the creative process from a different perspective. I began my career with the highly respected agent David Burnham straight after graduating, where I gained invaluable experience and a deep understanding of the industry.

Six years later, on David’s retirement, I set up Burnham Niker and went on to run that agency for seventeen years. During that time, I represented a roster of twelve exceptionally talented photographers, producing campaigns for clients all over the world. I’ve always taken a hands-on, collaborative approach, and I place great value on the long-term relationships I build with both photographers and clients.

In 2017, I chose to downsize and take a more personal direction, working under my own name. Since then, I’ve worked closely with the award-winning still life photographer and director Paul Zak, focusing on dedicated representation and production.

In 2024, I expanded my roster to include the renowned entertainment, portrait and celebrity photographer Matthias Clamer, continuing to work with talent I admire and believe in.
